Surface-mounted or inset-protected 301, 290 or 590
Roadstud manufacturers have provided engineers with innovative developments from the early 1970s, and 3M Traffic Safety Systems, in partnership with Roadcraft and Fleming now set new standards with increasing customer use of the 290, 301 and 590 products.
The 290 road stud fully proven as a surface applied marker can also be better protected as an inset reflector within a 301 casting. Though subjected to final BSEN1463-2 testing, our inset roadstud 301/290 has Government type approval from the Department for Transport England, the Scottish government, Welsh Assembly, and the offices of Northern Ireland.
The use of a combination of 590, 301/290 or 290 Roadstuds gives an opportunity to achieve 3M Microprismatic reflective uniformity from three high performance but value added products. Engineers matching a 3M 290 either as a surface applied or secure within a 301 housing together with a 590 inserted into a base, achieve from three different Roadstuds a uniformed type signal, and a selection of product to suit all types of road, traffic conditions, and budgeted cost.
We believe this indicates innovation is alive and well in our industry.
